Hi Ciro,
In the game below I'm mystified as to why Kanguruh lost the game on time. Kanguruh was clearly winning the game before it lost on time. I haven't seen Kanguruh loose a game on time in many months. It maybe a bug, but I cannot see anything about the game that could trigger a bug, I have replayed the game here and Kanguruh had no issues with the moves. Do you still have the debug file for this game?

Hi Tommy, what if Kanguruh underpromoted in the next move and
Knightcap declined that move as illegal? :-)
(Right now I dont remember if Knightcap has an underpromotion bug...)
Should be easy to verify anyway.
Best wishes,
Günther

G'day Gunther,
I'm not sure what happened, but if Knightcap thought it was an illegal move then wouldn't Kinightcap have lost on time? I'm now working on the theory that it maybe a bug relating to fisher time control, since I don't test a lot in this mode. I also noticed that Bodo lost on time too, not sure if this is unusual for Bodo but I think I will check out the other games to see if there are lots of games lost on time.
Cheers,
Tom.

Hi Ciro,
Thanks, I found the reason for the loss on time. Kanguruh has a stupid stupid stupid bug when it calculated the time to spend on the move, I cannot believe I made this mistake. As can be seen below from the debug file, Kanguruh receives from winboard that there is 47 seconds left on the clock, then Kanguruh acknowledgeds this by saying "Time left on clock= 42.38", note there is 5 second saftey zone added to the time left. After that it then calculated that the time it should spend on this move is 53 seconds which is 10 seconds more than what it thinks is time left on the clock. Kanguruh added the 10 second Fischer time control increment to the time left on clock and thats how it got it wrong.

4719672 >first : time 4738
otim 2421
4719672 >first : b3c3
