UCI engines in WBEC?

With the emergence of this way to get TheKing and other UCI engines to work in Winboard, there is now a possibility of including them into WBEC. Of course the final decision is up to Leo, but I was just wondering if Leo had previously considered this?
How about other tournament authors? Really I would like to see List 512 and SOS 4 Arena along with other engines included, but like I said before the final decision is up to the authors.

You're confused, it seems. The King isn't a UCI engine, but a Winboard engine,
and it's already playing in WBEC. It finished second in the last edition of
the Premier League.

It is possible, but there are some significant restrictions:

The uci engines can't use their own books. Bookthinker created good books here but the original books will be better.
The adapter itself has a bug. Therefore I used a workaround for that http://f11.parsimony.net/forum16635/messages/60661.htm. Not everyone will accept such conditions.
On the other hand it was a lot of fun the run the tournament. The final results will be posted this evening or tomorrow.
BTW: TheKing is a Winboard engine not UCI. How to run it please see in Aaron's WB-FAQ. I'm using the "inbetween" variation.

In my tournament two UCI engines play (SOS.3 and SOS 4) via adapter and both use their own books.
Yes, it is. While playing vs each other SOSes can repeat moves in the drawn position for ever. So I have decided to arrange further tournaments with UCI engines under Arena.

UCI engines can use their own books. Most of the UCI engines has a OwnBook option. With this option activated, the engine uses its own book.

One could make the argument that TheKing doesn't plug directly into Winboard so why should Leo have to go through the trouble to get it working? If he does then why not other engines if they are just as easy?
BTW Good results for TheKing, but I expected it to win! Maybe next time =O)

I think it might be activated via WB2UCI.eng file but I'm not sure, I'll get it a test run with SOS 4.

I figured out that if you just delete Bookthinker.dat (the actual book with moves with?) the engine plays with its own book, case in point with SOS.
Here is my RC file in case anyone wants to try it out. I am going to try LittleGoliathNemesis now.

Ok I now have SOS4Arena working without Bookthinker, I also have LittleGoliathNemesis moving but I can't seem to get it to use its engine. The UCI parameter for this is Use_Book_Engine=true which I inserted into the .rc file but for some reason LGN won't accept it. I am certain that this is the parameter because if you load LittleGoliathNemesis in Arena and choose to configure it it shows this option. Is there some order I must put these commands in? Any UCI experts out there? Here is my .rc file for it.
