,we have a challenge for the top seat: Thinker 4.5a vs. Ruffian 1.0.5.
Game will be played with tournament time control 40 moves in 2 hours + 40 in 2h + 1hour for the rest. The game will be annotated with some comments. Also annotated will be new and (hopefully) improved Gothmog 0.4.6e vs. PostModernist 1008. This game is 40 moves in 20 minutes like all games involving Top 50 engines. Hope that Andrew will also issue a challenge for another game with PostModernist for cycle 1.

Nunn2-5. Eeyore is already greatly improved since first release 1.10, especially time management is now much better. Eeyore won convincingly by pushing through its free a-pawn.
Bestia 0.90 (pos.88) vs. Greko 2.68 (pos.78) 0.5:0.5
Nunn2-17. Very nice tactical game. Greko got a counterattack against the uncastled white king and underdevelopped white pieces. In the end Greko had queen and dangerous free pawn(s) against two rooks. Maybe 39..b4 or 39..a5 would have given better chances to win the game.
Greko 2.68 (pos.78) vs. Madeleine 0.2 (pos.71) 1:0
Nunn2-14. Greko got a huge opening advantage, as Madeleine gave it the pair of bishops and other advantages like those pawns on a and c restricting Black´s position to a very passive one. The bishop on d6 so became a strong outpost that could not be attacked. Doing some pressure along the half-open b-file was already sufficient to win material and crushing Madeleine rapidly.
