Hi :-),
and here is the new list for challenges. I took out some "dead" engines (not updated for more than two years) to give a chance to those that are still under development.
Challenges can be done here or via email, according to the rule "up to ten above". Moreover the same engine can´t be challenged twice in a row. But the other way round it is possible. Yace lost to GLC in cycle 1 and could challenge GLC in cycle two for example.
Those who were in in first cycle with a challenge and are to "lazy" to issue a challenge I will assign the highest ranked opponent remaining after all others have chosen.
Those who did not issue a challenge before, have to do this only once here or via email to be in "for all times".
Deadline for cycle 2 is Monday, midnight.

Hi Tord,
ah yes, so Gothmog also can be challenged.
And to remember, all those who are not in so far can challenge ranks 91-100 to make their way to the top 100. Promising candidates would be Plywood, KKF, Alarm, Armageddon, EnginMax, WJChess, Mustang, Ranita,Pulsar, Deuterium, Celes, Belzebub, Alfil and more....

Hi Heinz,
because so less games are known in the public of latest Moveis I want to challange it... Also Moveis development is outstanding to me, especially because Uri is not what I would call a programming expert. But it seems that he knows how to do things in a clever way...

In that case, Terra vs Quark...
I think Quark has a good chance and even if Terra's chances are small there are at least some random fluctuations in this game!

Hi all :-),
there are some more challenges...Eeyore challenges Bodo and Tinker challenges Sunsetter.
For Geoff: you will have to pick another opponent as Tom is on holidays.
rating list and Nunn B Tournament updated. The Baron is finally on the way where it belongs.
More tournaments that will start after B and C are finished I will announce tomorrow. There will be a D tournament with Beowulf, BigLion, Drunken Master, Ufim, Greko, Eeyore, Cheetah, Bestia, Tinker...four more are needed. Maybe Beowulf is too strong here and I will run a gauntlet for this one.
And there will be finally the long Elite tournament with 24 from the best amateur engines, with 920 Nunn games for each engine. There are also free spots. More tomorrow.
Best Regards
Heinz

I have some questions.
1)Terra challanged quark and quark challanged movei.
What happens if Terra beats quark.
Is quark going to play against movei?
2)How much time I have to prepare for the challange?
I am not going to build a special personality against quark(I do not work like that) but I may try to improve movei for the match against quark
3)Can I challange wildcat in case that movei does not lose against quark?

Hello Uri,
games are considered that way that all is simultaneously and not subsequently depending on certain results.
1)Quark will play against Movei in any case, independent of the result Terra vs. Quark. I do not even know in what order I will play the two games, it does not matter. Possible outcomes...If Terra wins against Quark and Quark wins against Movei, Terra will conquer Movei´s rank and Quark remains unchanged.
So Movei should have an insurance challenging WildCat for example. Given the previous mentioned results and Movei wins against WildCat, Movei would remain on 27 and Terra change places with WildCat!!! So some funny things can happen and changes depend also on luck here, that is why I call it a fun tournament.
2)I will presumably start from the bottom, the match vs. Quark will be approximately next Saturday.
3) of couse you can, according to the rules. Movei is on 27 and WildCat on 19, that position came from the old WildCat version. WildCat 3.0 would be higher in the list.
Best Regards
