Hi Gábor,
You probably missed that I've changed domain in my email address. Try fendrich.se instead of fendrich.net (with peter@...)
(A) Terra is black. The Elephant Gambit is not generally considered a good gambit and even worse in the way Terra handled it.
(B) Terra is white? I'm not sure what's wrong here. I think that the white line is playable but it isn't very "computerish" though. I even liked the maneuver Na3-Nc2 that follwed later on. Maybe I'm wrong. Please enlighten me in that case!
I generally try to have a wide book where the more suspect variants are played very seldom but I think I should block the Elephant. OTOH I kind of like elephants.

Hi Peter,
(I sent this to you as a letter, but I was told yours is not a valid e-mail address!?)
Terra's first two games in SzG Swiss began like this:
(A) 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d5
(B) 1. e4 d6 2. g3 g6 3. Bg2 Bg7 4. Ne2 c5 5. O-O Nc6 6. c3
I didn't modify the opening book stuff in the ini file you sent me, so the
relevant part looks like:
[Book]
Book=1
PostBook=1
BookLearn=1
PostLearn=1
RandomType=2
TerraLimit=32
MinTerraGames=3
BookLimit=20
MinBookGames=3
BookFile=main2.book
PostFile=postbooka.dat
Is this normal? In case (A) Terra could not recover from the opening
disadvantage.
Gábor
