Hi :-),

Nunn Tournament B is finished. Rating lists are updated.
Final standings:
1 Thinker 4.5c                407.5 / 600
2 Green Light Chess 3.00      384.0 / 600
3 Slow Chess 2.89b            336.0 / 600
4 Amyan 1.592                 334.0 / 600
5 King of Kings 2.52          317.5 / 600
6 WildCat 2.79                316.5 / 600
7 LambChop 10.88 WB           310.5 / 600
8 Abrok 5.0                   309.0 / 600
9 Quark 2.35                  306.0 / 600
10 Quark 2.05b                280.5 / 600
11 The Baron 1.2.0            274.0 / 600
12 Movei 00_8_163             264.0 / 600
13 Comet B67                  253.5 / 600
14 PostModernist v1008        252.5 / 600
15 Amateur 2.78               245.0 / 600
16 Frenzee 151                209.5 / 600
Most impressing the overwhelming score for Thinker. Meanwhile we know it all, but when I started the tournament I was not aware of such a breakthrough, should be around 100 ELO points better than any Thinker 4.4 version.
Very good score for GLC. Most others scored like I expected from previous tournaments with older versions, Amateur improved over the 2.70 version.
Most astonishing. Quark 2.35 scored 25.5 points more than Quark 2.05b, despite of the individual score of 14:26 against the old version. Anyway combined with much better test results than the older version against WildCat 3.0 and AnMon 5.30 rating difference is 53 ELO points in favour of Quark 2.35.

Tournament D began with Nunn position 1. Ufim won not unexpectedly, but the performance from the new Booot is also superb.
1   Ufim 4.04           ** 0½ ½1 0½ 10 11 11 11 1½ 11 11 ½1 11  18.5/24

Hi :-),
Hi
Great turnament, it's good to see so many games. :-)
Seems frenzee fell a little behind this field, I had expected it to be
closer to Amateur and PM but unfortunately they seem to evolve even faster.
I had a strong suspicion something was not quite right after seeing it in CCT6,
but CCT6 was just too few games to be sure.
Now I have a better idea at what level it is, so that's at least a place to start :-)
I think I will have a new version ready before division 2 (of Leo's) starts, I expect it to have UCI and the new EGTB format support.
Hopefully it will also be slightly stronger :)

Hello Sune,
Frenzee is better than it looks here, opponents were just too tough. I put this version with all results in my old rating list and it scores a few ELO points more than Frenzee 146 with also a few hundred games. Your next version will play a tournament with Arasan, Phalanx, Beowulf etc. and there it will look much better.
We have the same in the other C tournament. Horizon and Averno do not look good, because opponents are strong, but Horizon is a few points better than the public release when I add it to my huge Elolist and Averno even 100 points better than 0.52.

Best Regards
Heinz

That's interesting, I was starting to doubt whether it was actually better.
It seems quite a bit better at short time controls where I have done all of the
testing but at longer time controls the old version starts to catch up.
:-)
I'm not sure if that matters so much, doing badly in a tough group can
look just as good as doing well in an easy group, can't it? :)
With everybody improving, I see a future where Ruffian 1.0.1 will be considered at the Gerbil level. :)
