Hi :-),
I started a gauntlet with Gothmog 0.4.7 sel.6. Here are the first 200 games with the usual conditions (Athlon 2600+, 64MB, ponder off, all 20 Nunn openings, 4+5men EGTB, 4m+2s):

Gothmog 0.4.7   - Movei 00_8_178     21.0 - 19.0
Gothmog 0.4.7   - Tao 5.6            20.0 - 20.0
Gothmog 0.4.7   - Amyan 1.593b       18.0 - 22.0
Gothmog 0.4.7   - Anaconda 1.6.2     16.5 - 23.5
Gothmog 0.4.7   - Pepito v1.59       16.0 - 24.0

So very good results overall against opponents with mostly higher ratings, especially against Tao. Games are very entertaining in the typical Gothmog style. For example a win in only 25 moves against Pepito after a knight sac.

Pepito v1.59 - Gothmog 0.4.7 [C06]

All games can be downloaded from my site under downloads / gauntlets.
Rating at the moment is 2590 for Gothmog 0.4.7sel6. So 42 points more than Gothmog 0.4.6 so far. Of course much more games for both are needed to be sure. I updated the rating list at my site.
Next opponents in the gauntlet will be Smar Think, Ktulu, AnMon, Slow Chess, PostModernist, Dragon and Patzer with 280 games more.

Tournament D is updated with position 9:

It is relatively to other results not so good results.

CometB67 only 2502
Uri

Hello Uri,
yes, I know - Tord is even more optimistic. With 280 games more diffence might increase or drop a lot. I am very curious.
For Comet B68 I saw other very good results elsewhere, but I think difference is too high so far compared to B67. That one also started quite good with first positions and then dropped like a stone. Most astonishing for me still Ikarus, although it does not so good with pos. 5 so far. But from almost 1000 games I had with Ikarus before I am sure that it will finally drop to where it belongs.

I did not test gothmog but the win is very very deep so you cannot use this position to test table access when it is clear that it is a bad decision to rone the tablebases when the remaining depth is big because the program can often be slowed down without positive effect.

I read that often programs are weaker because they probe the tablebases too often.
The way to test if program is using tablebases is to test if it can find forced mate when the tablebase position is 1 or 2 or 3 moves from the root and not to give it position when the distance from the root is very big.

I can add that tablebases are not needed to see a big score and simply gothmog selective search does not help here
see Junior5's analysis(it is known that Junior5 does not use tablebases).

From the games I watched, access to 5-men EGTB is no prob for Gothmog. Two examples:

Movei 00_8_178 - Gothmog 0.4.7 [A48]

What's your opinion about Gothmot and EGTB access? See also my message
http://f11.parsimony.net/forum16635/messages/63780.htm
Kurt
From your test position with six pieces it seems that Gothmog is not accessing the tablebases at this stage, but I won´t be sure. It is very deep like Uri wrote.

Without a correct PGN I can only paste moves without other details
in Fritz-GUI. Have therefore no possibilite to check your games
because of missing details like: search depth, score, time and so on.

It is relatively to other results not so good results.
42I see a suprising bigger improvement in comet when cometB68 is 2594 when
CometB67 only 2502
I agree. This is a very impressive improvement.
