Thinker is a good positional engine. It is very strong.
It seems that Thinker 4.6d sends only some first PV lines and becomes silent.
Examples:
D:\>Thinker.exe
Thinker: cannot open book (0) D:\Thinker.dat
Thinker: 4.6b (E 51, 51e) Copyright (c) Lance Perkins
Thinker: Freeware. No warranties whatsoever.
Thinker: n-o q-t o-t s-f-c
Thinker: cannot open book (0) D:\Thinker.dat

9 1 659 2474634 e2e4 e7e6

The last command (quit) was sent by me after 5 minutes of Thinker's silent thinking.
Another example:
D:\>Thinker.exe
Thinker: cannot open book (0) D:\Thinker.dat
Thinker: 4.6b (E 51, 51e) Copyright (c) Lance Perkins
Thinker: Freeware. No warranties whatsoever.

Again, I waited several minutes. Maybe Thinker stops thinking after depth=9?
