KnightDreamer 3.2
Chezzz 1.0.3
Frenzee 151
Terra 3.3b4
Gothmog 0.4.7
Five Scandinavian engines among eighteen participants. Cool.
Good luck to David, Johan, Sune and Peter! :-)

Dear me, only a very confident man dares to wish his opponents good luck.
I would sooner run barefooted acroos the Arctic than wish my opponent
good luck.
I was thinking more along the lines of doing some black magic voodoo
to up my chances...
Perhaps David and Peter would be interested in forming a secret
underground alliance?
It is paramount that we put an end to the Gothmog era of ruling.
Confident or already giving up.
So good luck to you Sune!
Gothmog what's that? A lisp program, right?
Just a parenthesis... Sorry Tord... ;-)
/Peter
"Giving up" is not in my vocabulary, could you translate?
You are such a teaser, but I don't get paranoid.
Hehe, yeah this is good stuff, the alliance is really psyking itself up now,
getting ready for combat!

Unfortunately it means bad luck for movei that in the best case can get only to the middle of the table when with some bad luck it can be even worse than it.
Uri, you have at least as good chances of winning as anybody else in the
tournament. It will be a tough fight, and the winner will need some luck.
Tord
I do not think that you need luck to win.
I expect gothmog to win with significant difference from the second place unless somebody else did a significant improvement.
I will be surprised if it scores less than 70%.
I also do not think that I have a lot of chances to win and I will be happy with 4th place.
I can promote with luck but I can also go down to the 3th division with bad luck.
Uri
Strange, in my tests (although in Blitz), Movei outperforms Gothmog by quite a margin. I see you engine as one of the favourites (together with Amy).

Tord, will you suggest selectivity=6 or 7 for this tournament?
Selectivity=6. I haven't seen any data which indicates that higher values perform
better.

Does working for a Swedish company count too? Then The Baron qualifies as well ;-)
OK, six then! Even better. :-)

It is paramount that we put an end to the Gothmog era of ruling.
The Gothmog era of ruling? We're living in the Ruffian era of ruling, as
we have been doing for several years by now! Let's sprint to the Premier
division together and kill the monster. :-)
Tord
Gladly, but only if my voodoo works.
If not I can only be there with you in spirit.
And that's assuming I don't choke on the cloud of dust you leave behind :-)
That's not enough, I'm afraid. Gothmog is not strong enough to climb to the Premier
division without help. Without your voodoo skills, there is no hope.
By the way, I think that Frenzee is also one of the (many) engines which have chances
of winning division 2. This will be a very tough tournament.
I don't think there is much reason to be afraid of that. :-)

You are too kind Tord, but Frenzee has no chance of winning.
I think/know that Baron, Knightdreamer, TCB and Amy are stronger.
Then there is Movei, Slowchess, Amateur perhaps Betsy all of which I believe to be stronger.
Gothmog appears to be really good, might be a favorite to win.
I am not sure how frenzee will do compared to the rest...
I just sent Leo an experimental version, with lots of luck it won't finish last :)

Will Gothmog play with selective=6 is Leo's tournement ?
It's one off my favorites
(together with The baron).
I guess so, unless some reliable person provides me with some unbelievably
good results with other settings some time before the start of the tournament.
Results from Sune and his secret underground alliance don't count.
Thanks.
Gothmog hates the Baron, and tends to lose really badly against it. :-(
Tord
A little tournement with my 2nd division favorites and one 1st division engine to compare with.

1 2 3 4
1 Movei00_8_174 ** 10 1½ 1½ 4.0/6
2 Gothmog 01 ** 10 1½ 3.5/6
3 Postmodernist 1.010 0½ 01 ** ½½ 2.5/6
4 Baron 1.2.1 0½ 0½ ½½ ** 2.0/6

30 min/game.2RR. AMD XP2800+ @2.15Ghz.
Arena GUI 1.05
Movei seems a very dangerous candidate too !!!!
This division will be a very interesting one indeed.
Best
