Yes, i think so. It seems that UCI is something like a "must" for a engine because even many programmers (and of course users) wants to run a engine in the F7 GUI. I for myself want to run the Engine in the S5/6 Classic GUi but ...
BTW: Could'nt force Hagrid (UCI) to use it's book under S6-Classic. All Settings were correct because YACE or other UCI Engines uses their book without any problems. The Engine itself seems to run fine under S6-Classic.

like mushrooms with authors I never heard of nor
read in any of the typical fora
According to his site he just started in Sept. 2001
and here it is, even UCI compatible.

and here it is, even UCI compatible.

It has a terrific motor. It typically outsearches Beowulf by 3-4 plies. Once he gets the eval strengthened a bit, it could turn into a monster.
