Hagrid and Chessbase (Fritz 6) GUI

Hello all (and in particular Tony Thomas),
Hagrid, all three releases so far, functions quite well in the Fritz 6 gui. Apparently it installs as a UCI engine so it requires the UCI to WB adapter by Roland Pfister (my apologies for any errors with the spelling!)which is available on Frank Quisinsky's excellent chess site.
It requires -xboard in the command line of Hagrid XXX init. It handed me my head a couple of times so be careful. Please see below for my init and rc files details. Modify as applicable. I hope this helps.
Of course I expect that by the time this gets posted it will already be dated. Sigh. Now if I could get Shredder 3 to work in Winboard.... :(
Have fun.
Later.

[Parameter]
CommandLine = -xboard
Author = Klaus Friedel
Engine = Hagrid 0.6.32
Debug = False
[Support]
AnalyzeMode = False
PonderMode = False

Has anybody ever got Hagrid working under Fritz 6 with its native UCI support ? Most Winboard adapters send a "new" command before each move making Hagrid clear all Hashtables.
So it plays much worse than with native UCI support.

Hello Klaus,
Fritz6 has/d no UCI support as this came much later with F7 and S6 :))
but you are right about the WB adapter.

Hello gentlemen,
Of course I am willing to defer to your explanation of the effects that the adapter has on the typical Winboard engine but for those of us patzers (alright so it's only me!) who play against these engines in the Chessbase environment, we get mauled with distressing regularity.
I shudder to think what the story would be if there was no weakening!!
I write for the Fritz 6 (for whatever odd reason that they might have :)) users among us. They are out there.........
Brrrr, chilling thought...

Hmmm, maybe the clearing out of the hashtables describes a typical patzer's approach to the game ie. where did that queen come from to deliver that mate in two? I did not see it a minute ago!
