Carlos,I'm not sure there's any improvement in play strength but there are some new things and bug fixes that I thought deserved the update. I've emailed Dann the sources so I guess you'll have better binaries before long but in the meanwhile...

was a uper/lower-case problem of the file - I have changed it and it should be now possible to download it... Thanks for the hint !The link to the source code on your page appears to be broken (gives a 404
File Not Found error).
Thanks Carlos! I am really anxious to know how it plays now.I'm not sure there's any improvement in play strength but there are some new things and bug fixes that I thought deserved the update. I've emailed Dann the sources so I guess you'll have better binaries before long but in the meanwhile...

UCI Pepito doesn't use the book (libro.bin, libro.ind) that I downloaded from your site. Under Fritz7 it seems necessary to specify the book files in a config.dat file to get Pepito working with the book. Under Arena I had no success until now.

Thanks, Carlos and Thomas. I was able to download the source code package. I'll see if I can build it with gcc 3.1 for MinGW and gcc 3.1.1 for Cygwin and report the results.

Problem fixed. At least it's working under Arena. I need feedback on other interfaces. If someone wants to volunteer for the task drop me an email.
SureMay I spam you with a Pepito binary to see if it works correctly before I
release it? (I don't own Shredder)
Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the new version of Pepito. Could you tell me where to find 2600u.pgn file for oppening book?
Regards from Sl.
I was able to compile the new Pepito on both gcc 3.1.1 for Cygwin and gcc 3.1 for MinGW with only minor changes to the makefile.gcc. Initial testsuite performance (wacnew.epd from Dann's site, using 1 second per position) appears equal to that of the compiled binary from Carlos' website.Let me know if you succeed. Thanks, Carlos and Thomas. I was able to download the source code package. I'll see if I can build it with gcc 3.1 for MinGW and gcc 3.1.1 for Cygwin and report the results.
