Hi Grzegorz,
Tytan is new champion
Congratulations to Thomasz ! -> And bad luck for you and your Armageddon - even just a half point against Matant may have been already enough to win the title - so next year... :)
Besides, any infos about the used hardware available ?

My Polish language knowledge is not that good :-) (Did I miss an English page?)
What was the time control? From the schedule I would guess game in 1 h or game in 45 min perhaps.
Was the tournament played on a real board with a real clock and some operator doing the moves and hit the clock?
With best regards,
Dieter

Rzeznik (Butcher), Armageddon and Excelsior used their own hardware (OPEN CATEGORY). All the others used computers with Celeron 1.4Ghz 256MB RAM (UNIFORM CATEGORY).
Tytan by Tomasz Michniewski get both titles as it started in uniform category.

Unfortunately for now there is no English page, sorry.
1h per game plus 10 minutes for operating.
Real boards? Yes... see http://mpps.64pola.pl/autorzy

Thanks for your answer, Piotr.

So, did you use normal chess clocks, that started at 70 minutes?
When was the clock started? If you think, that this is a strange question - I was surprised when I attended my first computer chess tournament, that the clock was only started, when the first engine was out of book. But I found it a very reasonable rule.
I looked at it. Nice (although perhaps sometimes a flash light was missing?)
I hope, you all enjoyed the tourney very much. Congratualation to the winner Tomasz Michniewski. No picture of him?
Are you all back home already?
And - which interfaces did all the participants choose? Did some operate under WB? Xboard? Text mode? Own GUI?
Cheers,
Dieter

Sorry, to followup my own post. Seems one can see it in the pictures. In http://mpps.64pola.pl/autorzy/image9.html one can see the chess clock at 1:09 in an obviously very early stage of the game.

Exactly.
I think it's a good idea!
But we started the clocks just before the first move of a game.
Tomasz was absent for private reason so Tytan had another operator.
I hope so :).
Winboard:
1.Rzeznik(Butcher)
2.Armageddon
3.Robin
4.Belzebub
5.Matacz
6.Tytan
Text mode:
1.Enigma
2.Szeregowiec
3.Excelsior
Own GUI:
1.Matant
2.Atak
3.MKChess
