Hello,
My tournament called "Le Système du Suisse" with 208 engines and 26 divisions has finished last year. The next session is in preparation.
Now, 288 engines are on the starting-blok and I want to redefine the new Division.
For this, I am going to make a swiss tournament with 15 rounds at 40'/40 moves. The appariement program is Winswiss.
After that, the middle between the elo point after the 2nd session and the elo point of this tournament are going to attribuate the news divisions
A representant by protocol and name of engine is allowed. There are 4 protocols (Winboard, UCI, Native CB and Native CP)
If an author want to send me a new version or a new program for the tournament, this version is of course welcome
If an author who has private engine and want to see the level of his engine, he is also welcome.
Don't be afraid to see old engines to play in my system. This versions are using as "etalon value". They can be a good goad for authors of news engines.
Every engines will play with his own book. If the engine has no book, the book Perfect v4.0 from Sedat Cambaz will be used.
If an author thinks that his own book is too weak, he can inform me and to let play his engine with Perfect v4.0.
The GUI of Fritz 8 is used with a PIV - 1,9 Ghz and 64 Mb hashtable. The engine with W2U will be used with wb2uci.exe from Odd Gunnar Malin.
The letters DC give the indication that the engine is compiled by Dann Corbit.
The deadline date is the januar 15th 2003 24H00 GMT.
Upgrades and news engines are allowed during the tournament.
