Hi Roger,
it seems they found the reason finally. The update doesn't work if you're not logged on to your computer with a username. If you somehow can can manage it to log on to your machine with a username and then restart the update it should work (reported at the arenaforum).

Hello Volker,
Pretend for a moment that you are speaking to a total ignoramus. I have never used a password to log onto my machine. Precisely how do I do that?
I use Windows ME, not 2000 or XP.
At least there has been progress...of a sorts.

For Windows ME click start and then go to settings --->control panel. Go to users and the rest should be self explanitory. Once done reboot your computer and log in with your user name and password that you have chosen.

Hello Luis,
No it isn't. However, could someone who knows my e-mail address send a set of detailed instructions? That would be off-topic for this forum.
I am considerably less than enthusiastic about a piece of software that requires all of these changes I have to tell you.
Later.
