Nunn B updated, Pyramid surprises

Hi :-),
Nunn B is updated. Green Light Chess won with position 13, followed by King of Kings. Quark much better with the new version here.
We have some position changes in the Pyramid in the lower half especially.
Hermann defeated Genesis, Sunsetter won against CyberPagno.
Trace 1.26 won convincingly with a nice attack against Averno and swapped places with it. Djinn and Dorky swapped positions due to the following results:

Djinn vs. Nullmover 1:0
Nullmover vs. Dorky 1:0
Daniel as he wrote will need some time to improve his new version.
Cerebro once again demonstrated that it is dangerous with longer time control 40 in 20 and could have advanced even more if Terra would have beaten Quark.
Luckily for Quark this game ended in a draw. But it was very strange. The final with queen against against rook, knight and pawns was surely not easy to win, as the pawns were not too much advanced and the queen had enough space for threats.
But before there were more than enough chances to win for Terra. The queenside pawns must be pushed. for example 58.Ra7 Bf8 59.a4! d2 60.Nxd2 Bxb4 61.axb5 Bxd2 62.Ra6+ Kf7 63.b6 wins easily.

Yes against most opponents but not against movei based on the results that I see.
Movei usually score better against the new quark and not against the old quark
(at least beased on the results so far).
Quark also continues to lose against previous version.
I guess that I can send new movei for the match against quark tomorrow or the day after it(I see that the pyramid is progressing fast so I am afraid to be too late).

José C.
Hello Jose,
I would be happy if Averno also participates in the pyramid, as I would like to have all those in at least that are playing in my other tournamets.
But Tao is not possible according to the rule "up to ten above". So please issue a challenge when the next cycle starts. It will be fairly easy for Averno to advance again I think.
Best Regards

Hello Uri,
fine, I will wait with this game against Quark until I have your next version, latest date would be Sunday.
Concerning Quark performance I was curious how long this absurd statistical weirdness would continue and played some positions with the Quark versions in advance. With position 16 alone the new Quark scores 10 points more than the old version, winning both against Movei, whereas the old version lost both. So in the end all comes finally down to a good improvement, what could already be seen in the test matches against AnMon 5.30 and WildCat 3.0.
Best Regards

Hello Heinz,
Well, that won't last (I predict Dorky will be back before we have time to
catch our breath). Still, I'll let Djinn enjoy it while it can!

Hi Tom,
oh yes, Minnesota must be very cold at this time. Greetings to the Timberwolves.
We will see, what Djinn can do. At the moment it is suffering a bit in a 40 games nunn position test match against the new Trace 1.26.
Best Regards

Hello Tom,
for this match version 0.840, as I want also have enough games with it. I already started with this version before your new release.
Another reason is that Djinn will participate with version 0.848 in the D tournament with Trace, Snitch, BigLion, DrunkenMaster and others. I gave the list in a message before. 480 games for 0.848 in that tournament. After that you should know if you improved.
Drink some Wodka. Might help against freezing :-).
Best Regards
