Nunn B update, Pyramid cycle 2 finished

Hi :-),
Nunn B is updated.
The second cycle of the Pyramid fun tournament is finished. There are lots of changes. For all results see below.
Kaissa won the tournament game 40 moves in 2 hours against Ruffian after 182 moves.
Thinker won very nicely against Aristarch 4.41.
The Baron switches positions with Delfi!!! due to the following results:
The Baron vs. Amyan 1:0
Amyan vs. Delfi 1:0
Slow Chess won against Gandalf. Gandalf with a horrible blunder 29...Bxh2 (the typical horizon effect, seems that 14 plys were not sufficient to avoid this).
Movei vs. Quark was interesting. Quark did some pressure in the open b-file, won a pawn and pushed its free d-pawn. But Movei managed enough counterplay with his passed pawn on c. In the other game against WildCat 3.0 Movei had no probs to get a draw. The rook endgame even looked a bit better.

Announcing experimental tournament

Hi all :-),
in order to add fuel to the flames concerning the discussion longer time controls versus blitz there will be an experimental tournament with 12 participants.
This will be a round robin with 4 games each engine against each other on Blitz level and two games each engine against each other with 40 moves in 20 minutes, plus 40 in 20, plus 20 minutes for the rest. Score for the longer time control will be doubled for the overall crosstable, but there will be also separate crosstables for Blitz and 40 in 20.
Games are on Athlon 2600 with 128 MB Hash for 40/20 and 64MB Hash for Blitz, ponder off, 5 men EGTB and of course Nunn positions chosen accidentically by drawing playing cards. Blitz games will count for the rating list and will be 5m+3s this time to avoid that some games from former tournaments will be repeated.
If number of games will not be sufficient I will add some opponents more, as soon as all of the 12 finished their respective games.
The following will participate:
Thinker
GLC
Yace
Delfi
Slow Chess
Quark
Tao 5.6 beta

Five more are needed. Please apply via email to avoid a long discussion here.
I want to have some in where the authors suspect a huge difference between those time controls for their engine.
If there is no interest the tournament will be cancelled of course.

I think that it is not a good idea to have different types of time control in that experiment because difference may be result of being better in a specific type of time control.
It is better if you use 5+3 and 20+12
20+12 means 28 minutes for the first 40 moves that is slower than 40/20+40/20 but only 36 minutes for 80 moves that is faster than 40/20+40/20 so it is nearly the same but you have not the problem of different types of time control.

Hello Uri,
yes, I also thought about 20+12. I think it will be a majority decision done by the participants.

Hi Matthias,
yes, I see that you are renewing the contest with Tytan for being the "update King" once again after some pause you had :-).
Do you think I can play the match against Sunsetter beforehand today or will there be another update tomorrow?
Best option would be that I tell you the result and you decide if another update would be useful to claim a rematch. *g*

Hahaha ! I know that BigLion has not yet played.
If he beats Sunsetter, the log file will interest me because
Sunsetter searches 5 plys deeper than BigLion.
