Why the installer's size is 4.6 MB is after the installation, the total size of the extracted files is less than 3MB? To the people with a slow dial-up connection, each MB is very important.

How do you figure the installed files are 3MB? Besides what it puts in the program directory, the installer also bundles some Windows components (DLLs) that are required by the application but may or may not already be on your system. These are installed if needed in the Windows system folder. It also installs some fonts, which go in the system font directory, not the Arasan installation directory. Finally, there's also some software in the bundle required by the install program itself.
I do make a smaller zip file available that only contains the Winboard client and book (not the Arasan native UI).
