Don't know. I've never run GreKo with pondering under tournament managers.
Pondering works OK wneh GreKo plays on FICS or in human-machine games on my local computer.
GreKo understands "hard"/"easy" commands when they come either from console mode or from WinBoard interface. As required by Winboard protocol description, after "new" command GreKo turns pondering off. Every time GreKo starts/stops pondering it writes "Start pondering" or "Stop pondering" in stdout, you can look it in winboard.debug file.

Oops... Just found some strange behaviour in my games vs. GreKo with pondering on local machine. Trying to fix. I will send you fixed version in some days. Maybe the reason is "force" command which causes pondering=off. Another possible reason is incorrect parsing of "many-commands-at-once" cases.
Design of this Forum changes faster than I can hit keys on my keyboard... )

I had also see GreKo pondering when testing against myself, therefore I did not
notice the 'problem' before I watched the taskmanager yesterday and saw GreKo
his CPU time was the same as used time in the game.
