23.5/48 against stronger opposition than when I ran a similar gauntlet with selectivity set to 4.
This setting achieved an ELO rating 11 points greater than when set to 4, but this is not statistically significant. More games are being run at both settings and will post as results become available.
Here are two games from this gauntlet. The first against AnMon 5.30 is interesting because Gothmog's opening book did not include the sac Nxg5 (played twice by Topalov against Leko within a short space of time - both times losing). Gothmog appears to improve on Topalov's play :). I was watching this game and thought that Gothmog might actually have won the game though it eventually ended in an exciting draw.
The second is against SmarThink 0.17 and is impressive simply because of the way SmarThink's position rapidly falls apart and also because it is somewhat typical of the ultra-aggressive Gothmog style; witness the rapid h-pawn push leading to an overwheling attack on white. A joy to watch indeed.
