You might be addicted to computer chess if...
- The numbers 19.11, 4.41, 0.17a, 3.00, etc. mean something to you
- Engines and opening books take up 10% or more of your hard drive
- The WB Forum and/or CCC Forum is your homepage
- You know what EGTB, WB, UCI, FICS, etc. stand for
- You watched live games during the last CCT tournament
- You are reading this list!
Am I missing anything?

Crafty, Aristarch, SmarThink. Not sure about the last one ...
Hardly possible for a Mac user. There aren't that many Mac engines out
there.
It isn't quite that bad yet.
Of course. :-)
No, but only because the time of the day was inconvenient in my time zone.
Otherwise I would have participated myself.
Yes:
- Replying to your list!

GLC, I am sure.
If I count the source code and object files and PGN and EPD and tablebase, I have about 100 GB worth.
I actually greatly prefer computer chess to OTB. I can read a 2-D board much more easily than a real one.
My answer:
If you dream about Ferret and end up slobbering on your pillow.
There, it's out. I'm a closet Ferret fan.

- You call your children "Fritz" and "Leila" (and your cat "Tiger")
- You do computer speed benchmarks only by measuring kN/s
- You've replaced more engines with new ones than any formula one pit crew did
- Your'e not so sure who the human World Chess Champion is,
but you always know the Computerchess World Champion
- You've seen more of Nimzo's games than of Nimzovitch's games
- When you hear "cash" you think "cache"
- The last time you've practised chess with a human was 1983

Was a bit tricky because it is perhaps the only product (almost) everybody uses without caring much for the version number ...

Well, I don't think many know that 2.045 is SSEchess...
Also, we have already newer versions like B68, Paderborn, 2.05b, 1010a, 1.0.3, 5.32...
Best wishes,
Gábor
