Question for Delphi programmers

With Delphi 8, Borland has added support for the Microsoft .NET Framework. I was wondering if any Delphi authors have started using .NET features in their work, their impressions of .NET, and whether or not they plan to rewrite their chess engines to use .NET.

It would be a terrible idea to rewrite a chess engine in .NET.
It would be a good idea for a GUI, though.

i wrote fafis in visual c# with .net and now i have to rewrite in c++, is no a good idea use .net features, soo many incompatibilities, more slow.
