Tao-Patriot 0-1
In fact I posted the result prematurely, while the game was still running. It looked so drawish...
Two more results:
DanChess-Phalanx 0-1
SlowChess-Djinn remis
Gábor
Very good results for Djinn.
It drew against 2 programs that are significantly stronger than movei when
Tao is in the premier division of Leo when Slowchess beated aristarch that is also in the premier division.
Uri
Hello Uri,
I *do* think this version of the engine is stronger than the version that
played in Leo's tournament. That said, this is a *tough* crowd and I'm
guessing Djinn's luck will run out soon, the other programs are just too
good- Movei included.
As a data point or two, my tests (100 game matches, run on an AMD Athlon
1800+, TC 15+3) indicate that Djinn is about 75 elo points weaker than
Phalanx XXII and roughly 110 elo below Amy 0.8.2. I know this is slightly
odd since Phanlanx is currently leading Amy in Leo's WBEC tournament, but
different engines match up in slightly different ways (which of course makes
it all the more interesting).
Almost all of my efforts lately have been spent on forward-pruning
techniques) more of Tord's "bad" influence I'm afraid , and the
results have been promising. I'm still not quite ready to release it into
the wild yet, but hopefully soon after a few more modifications and ICC
trials-by-fire. Djinn is *still* getting whipped by Amateur too often to
suit me (although Will doesn't seem to mind).
regards,
