Surprise 4.3-beta11 released

Hi,

I have just uploaded a new version of my engine Surprise. I expect a small improvement compared to 4.3-beta1, especially because I implemented SEE for QS move ordering. But as always, there was not enough time for testing so I fully rely on the customers

For any tournaments, I would recommend to switch to this new version if it is still possible. For WBEC I hope that round 4 has not yet started so the upgrade is still allowed.

If there were someone out there who wants to support me with an even faster windows build (e.g. one of BH, DC, JA) I would not say "no" Please send me an email so I can reply with my sources attached. You can find my email address at the bottom of the "Surprise" website, see below.

Hi,

thanks to Olivier Deville and Dietmar, a serious bug in Surprise 4.3-beta11 was found and could be fixed which caused Surprise to claim draw already at the first repetition of a game position. Also, Jim Ablett has provided a faster windows build (Intel C++ 10 PGO).
