I understood that Siboney is Pepito when the only change is a different evaluation function.
I also understood that Amyan with Siboney's evaluation is better than Siboney
and it proves that Amyan has better search rules for that evaluation function.
I do not know if Amyan has better search rules than Pepito if you use a different evaluation.
I understood that the cloner of siboney did not make the evaluation function public and releasing pepito with a different evaluation without making the new evaluation public is illegal(I do not know what is the situation today but it was clearly the case at the time that siboney was released).

Siboney, if I remember well, used pepito 1.40 but I am not sure, may be it is a mistake in my visual memory(i had the source of siboney).
About amyan search versus pepito 1.40 search, may be nothing can be said about it because he may commited a mistake. I added myself his eval to amyan and it is not the same he adding his eval to pepito as it is not his engine and could have commited a mistake.

Francisco have 'unreleased' Sibony and will probably have an new chessengine in the future:
