Not really winboard of course but for those who don't know it's now available for download from the arena website.
Nevertheless, will it work for winboard? Not really winboard of course but for those who don't know it's now available for download from the arena website.
I know of no way to use a UCI engine under winboard. There was an old program UCI2WB but the links to download it have now disappeared and I don't have a copy of it. However a lot of folk use winboard engines under UCI interfaces. Besides SOS is one of the top amateur engines.Nevertheless, will it work for winboard? Not really winboard of course but for those who don't know it's now available for download from the arena website.

As far as i know, all uci-only engines work with uci2wb adapter. Thanks Leo.
Using a tournament manager calling winboard which calls the adapter which calls sos4, is quite a chain of programs. Something must get lost along the way, I suppose.
Also, any other uci-only engines that could use uci-wb?
