New results of RWBC

I have updated a lot of my pages and there is also a new
slightly improved(?) TheKing book available for download.
Moreover I have renamed all of my WB programs on my
machines to get a consistent naming finally and stopped
abbreviating too, like i.e. LDB is now LaDameBlanche
again etc... ;)
(Name_Version for all now, except WBNimzo2000b which refused
towards my attempts of house keeping - wont run renamed)
If you like to have accurate tables from the latest
game files for Class A, please reload them - the zipped
pgns also contain renamed program names.

What is the meaning of things like

Hi Leen,
this is a feature of SCID who can add the material count
of the final position to the game list.
Numbers are pawns, small letters only mean one piece
of a kind left, big letters mean 2 of a kind left.
I will add some explaining text at my site soon, just
forgot about it (I use this feature just since a few
days and find it very useful).
Best regards,
Günther
P.S. A hard task for Queen nowadays in Class A of RWBC,
but so far it tries its best to avoid relegation.

Thanks; this a nice feature of SCID. By the way,
I have never quite understood what SCID is for.
Can I use it (like Arena) to play tournaments,
or is it only for database purposes?

SCID is mainly for database management and analysing,
but on an extremely high level.
Beneath that it produces very good tables and game lists
and any stats you can imagine from a game file for
export!

I sneak into this thread to mention an SCID feature I love: showing the position at end of PV during analysis. Windows GUIs probably do this as well, but on Linux SCID is the only one.
