I am very very satisfied with what DanChess has so far achieved.
It is now in the right place it deserves to be. Division 2 is too tough.
The new comers fruit, jonny, naum are way stronger than DanChess and may cope in that division. DanChess better wait another edition [4/5 months] and get prepared.
best wishes
daniel
P.S: what are my opponents for div2?
I have the same problem here. DanChess 1.05b crashes after every loss. I will send the logfiles to Daniel.DanChess has a serious crashing problem. Among other crashes, I also noticed a crash at the 231st move. I hope it can be fixed soon.

Maximum set of moves allowed in DanChess was 460 half moves[230 full moves].
I increased that to 330 full moves now. I will send you a bug fixed version tommorrow.

I do not think it is acceptable for a program to crash because it went beyond some arbitrary boundary that the author decided was big enough. If you use malloc and realloc it could solve the problem.
I think that 500 full moves are enough and engines that automatically declare draw by the 50 move rule or by repetition do not play games of more than 500 moves.I do not think it is acceptable for a program to crash because it went beyond some arbitrary boundary that the author decided was big enough. I think that the longest game in Leo tournament was a game of Ufim when Ufim missed a win because it declared draw because there were too many moves(300 moves)
claiming draw was a mistake but not illegal and the correct reason was that the opponent has not enough material to win.
The longest game in my set which has a clear legal status is 600 plies:No. See my follow-up to Fabien.I think that 500 full moves are enough and engines that automatically declare draw by the 50 move rule or by repetition do not play games of more than 500 moves.I do not think it is acceptable for a program to crash because it went beyond some arbitrary boundary that the author decided was big enough. The longest game in Leo's tournament is irrelevant. The longest game that is a legal chess game with no rules broken is relevant. Imposition of arbitrary restrictions by the programmer is bad programming. Practice makes perfect only if we practice what is perfect.
The existance of faulty games does not render all of them as faulty. Even if none should exist in a collection of 100 million games, we should still be prepared for the existance if it is allowed by the rules.
The same thing goes for things like underpromotion.

Perhaps that is true. the sides do not have to claim draw by the 50 move rule.

Probably, that is the problem. I use many programs to filter my games, including SCID, ChessBase, ChessAssistant, PGN-Extract, and others. It is not unlikely that one or more of them cannot handle long games.[...][Event "ICC 15 5"]

Your PGN is not complete. I posted the game on CCC. Perhaps, some software you used has a move limit?
