I know of no way to use a UCI engine under winboard. There was an old program UCI2WB but the links to download it have now disappeared and I don't have a copy of it. However a lot of folk use winboard engines under UCI interfaces. Besides SOS is one of the top amateur engines.

Using a tournament manager calling winboard which calls the adapter which calls sos4, is quite a chain of programs. Something must get lost along the way, I suppose.
Also, any other uci-only engines that could use uci-wb?

As far as i know, all uci-only engines work with uci2wb adapter.
