Hi Leo. I have a new version of Averno and I'd like to know when will start the next edition of the division Averno will play in. I'd rather wait until CCT6 to release this new version, but I can send it you before if it is necessary.
Thanks.

Hi Jose, if you are interested you can still update Averno also in
the currently running Class B of RWBC, at least for the next two days.

Hi José,
Averno will probably play at week 2 or 3 of Januari at the promotion/relegation tourney for division 3/4.
Depends also on how the "new engines" will do.
You can send it at any time you wish, it will not be send to anyone!
Also eventual test results will not be publiced if you wish.
Best wishes,
Leo.

Hi Leo,
------------------------------------
Chezzz 1.0.3 ½111 3.5/4
Horizon 4.1 ½000 0.5/4
------------------------------------
Ouch! Not a good way to end the year. Congratulations to David. This result is a little disappointing. Chezzz is one of Hori's benchmark engines. The last match I ran between them at (4+2) on a Cel-1300 went +9 =4 -11 in favour of Chezzz, so I was expecting a closer match.
Game 3 is puzzling. In this position:
r1q1k2r/4bppp/ppnpp3/6N1/Q1P1NP2/8/PP2PPKP/R4R2 b kq - 0 15
Hori is perhaps a little better and one would expect say 15...h6 16.Nf3 0-0. Instead the howler 15...Bxg5?? was played with Chezzz of course quickly picking up the BQ with a fork 16.Nxd6+.
Leo, could you post the relevant part of the debug.
Thanks,
Jim

José, you can as well update Averno in my current tournamnet (still 2 games to go).

This answer is directed to all. Averno new version is under very active development and I'd like to use as much time as possible before releasing it. Particularly, I'd like to delay until CCT6 to avoid any preparation from opponents. Not that I expect Averno to win at all, but it is much improved and I'd like to make a good result there.
Leo, I'll send you the last thing I have the day before your tournament starts, just to use all the available time. I don't care if you post results, but please don't post games.
Other interested testers please send me an email with the word Averno in the subject. My spam filter will dicard any message from non registered sender unless that word is there.

Hi Leo. I have a new version of Averno and I'd like to know when will start the next edition of the division Averno will play in. I'd rather wait until CCT6 to release this new version, but I can send it you before if it is necessary.
Thanks.
José C.
Hi José,
Averno will probably play at week 2 or 3 of Januari at the promotion/relegation tourney for division 3/4.
Depends also on how the "new engines" will do.
You can send it at any time you wish, it will not be send to anyone!
Also eventual test results will not be publiced if you wish.
Best wishes,
Leo.
José C.
No problem José, this is a very good reason . Anyway Averno won't qualify for the next step I think. Next tournament for Averno by here will be on April.
