Off-topic - Logging in to CCC

Postby Andrew Williams » 25 Jan 2004, 10:17

Sorry for the off-topic post...
This morning, every time I try to log-in to CCC the site just shows me the login screen again. I was concerned about this so I asked CCC to email me my password again (just to be sure that it hadn't been hacked). All I got was a "User Not Found" error. Is anyone else having difficulties?
Thanks
Andrew Williams

If CCC is the tournament being held on ICC, it may help to know that their main server has been having difficulties and you may have to log into their alternate server at queen.chessclub.com - there is an option for this in a drop down box in blitzin in the upper right hand corner of the log on dialogue.
Since this morning (5:00 am EST USA - same as server time) blitzin has been automatically rerouting to the alternate server.
I'm not sure if this addresses your problem.

Keith,
Thanks, but we were talking about another discussion forum about computer chess (The Computer Chess Club). The tournament we're going to hold is next week (called CCT6) and it IS on ICC. Hopefully their problems will be sorted out by then!

Andrew am I dense! I was just trying to log onto CCC - unsuccessfully as well ! - and did not make the connection (mentally, in this case as well). New account didn't help either, I've emailed them about the problem. Thanks.
