Hi all,
I am nearing completion of my new engine. Still lots of things yet to be done - but would be done within a month or so.
What I would like to know is :
a) Most common set of features that most users and testers look for/expect in an engine.
(Opening book support , egtb support , winboard/cli/silent mode , analysis will be present already).
Right now , I might be able to properly design this - rather than hack this in later ....
b) Would be hosting this on my webserver here (static ip) - but it is very unreliable : power/connection can drop anytime.
So if someone would be kind enough to host it , it would be great !
c) Still working on the MP version - not yet completed : so for atleast 2 months , the engine will not do MP.
Thanks,
Mridul
PS : Volker - my first post here : Thanks for the password :)

Feel free to send a beta version to test here whenever you want!

Thanks ! will send beta version to you then - would be great to get your feedback on it.
By May the engine should be stabilised enough (eval , search parameter tuning) to play "decent" chess.
Another thing , any comments or suggestions on my first question :

I think the most used/requested options/features are the one that are included into my engine "Info pages", like:
Move Now
Edit Mode
Analyze Mode
Opening Book
Create book
Ponder On/Off
Hash Tables (settable)
Table Bases (Nalimov)
Draw claim (3x repetition, 50 moves, insufficient material)
Resign
Force and go
Learn

Besides that there is ofcourse the UCI protocol to use the engine at non WinBoard compitable gui's.
Best wishes,
Leo.
