The problem seems to be common. It has been reported in other message boards too. I guess it has something to do with the firewall on Dann's site. If I try to access with a web browser it sometimes works sometimes not. But as wrote before I never had problems when using a ftp client. I use WS-FTP. The free version is good enough for everything I do.
The problem is due to a firewall on Dann's site indeed. Nothing we can do about that. It has to do with passive mode that most web browers use.
As many, I can't see directory lists on Dann's site unless I use "wget" (a command line to download files), but direct links to files always work.
If you see options about "passive mode" try fiddling with it, it might help.

Unchecking "Use passive FTP" solved it here.
