On Filtering pgn Files

I've noticed that there are a lot of "simulated" games between grandmasters of different generations in pgn files that are available for download. How could Fischer have played Capablanca in the 1990s?
Here is possibly such a game between Alekine (died 1946) and Euwe (died 1981)supposedly played in 1985. Did they play this game at a different date?

Hello Norm,
I am going to suggest that there is an incorrect date somewhere.
Alexander Alekhine met Max Euwe twice over the chess board to play for the title of the world's best player.
On the first occasion, Alekhine, perhaps more than a little guilty of arrogance, showed up in less than match condition. He lost.
On the second occasion Alekhine won back his title from the very sporting Euwe who did not put any obstacles in the way of the re-match. His example would be worthy of emulation today.
Alekhine was to meet Botvinnik but died before that match could take place. There is every indication that Alekhine was excited about the prospect.
I hope this helps.
Later.
Roger Brown
