I think that this forum is created in the first place for engines authors, not for engines fans. So, if engines authors need mainlines, I think that engines fans should work a little more to take them off, if they are not interested in engines thinking.
But we need a moderator (or moderators) intervention here. Perhaps I am wrong.

It isn't really a moderation issue, because there are no PGN guidelines. Only the usual net etiquette is applicable. However, I see no reason to include mainlines or other comments unless it is meant to prove a point, ie. low search depth, inefficient time usage or illegal/strange mainlines. Otherwise post clean PGN without automated commentary by Chessbase products or Arena. That's my opinion, not law or guideline.
The WinBoard forum was founded with the purpose of providing a forum for WinBoard users en masse IIRC. Regardless of the manner in which he or she participated. I don't think that has changed, so all members are of equal status. Besides, engine specific problems should be reported directly to the engine author.
